Julie Dent CBE
(Chair)
Julie Dent worked in the NHS in
London for 22 years. She was Chief Executive of South West London
Strategic Health Authority (SWLSHA) and had pan London
responsibility for mental health, prison health, emergency planning
and leadership development. She was a member of the Dept. of Health
programme board for workforce and chaired the European Working Time
Directive 2009 Steering Group.
David Scott - Chief Officer
David Scott was appointed as the
Chief Officer for London Probation in April 2005. David is the
London Criminal Justice Board Lead on Confidence, responsible for
driving forward the Board’s continued commitment to improve public
confidence in the capital’s criminal justice service
(CJS).
A key area is building on the
dialogue already established with the public of London,
particularly those from Black and Minority Ethnic communities.
David is also the first Chair of
the Probation Chiefs' Association (PCA) which was formed in
2008.
David was previously Chief Officer
for the Hampshire Area where he chaired the Hampshire and Isle of
Wight Criminal Justice Board. Before that, he was Chief Officer for
West Sussex Probation Area.
David Scott served as a member of the Parole Board for six
years.
Qualified as a Probation Officer in
the early 1970s, David has a background in staff and organisational
development, and completed an MBA with the Open Business School in
the mid 1990s.
Emma
Mandley MBE – continuing Board Member
Emma worked for London Weekend
Television in various management roles from 1980 to 2002, lastly as
Director of Regional Affairs. She is a Board Director for the
education charity Midi Music, which trains disadvantaged young
people in music skills, as well as for Albert & Friends Instant
Circus, which teaches circus skills to children.
HH Judge
William Kennedy – continuing Board member
Judge Kennedy was appointed Circuit Judge in April 2001. He sits
at Snaresbrook Crown Court and works solely on crime matters. He is
appointed by the Lord Chancellor as our judicial member.
Boyega Ogundere
Boyega joined a major supermarket
as a graduate entrant and is currently a Duty Manager. He has
strong financial skills and a real understanding of performance
management to get results
Caroline Corby
Caroline is currently a magistrate,
school governor and an active community participant in her local
area. She was a local councillor. She worked in investment banking
for six years. She has considerable experience in financial turn
round and start-ups. She is used to being a board member both in
local authorities and the private sector.
David
Newman
David is a qualified accountant and
a magistrate. He worked in the private sector, starting in one of
the large accountancy firms working his way up to eventually being
a finance director and latterly the managing director for a large
international business.
Philippa Drew CB
Philippa was a career civil servant
with considerable experience at Director level in a number of
government departments, including the Home Office and Foreign
Office. She has substantial knowledge of the criminal justice
system and the working of central government.
Carol
Butler
Carol Butler is currently the
Treasurer of London Community Cricket Association (LCCA), a
voluntary organisation. Her past experience includes commercial,
voluntary and public sector. She is a former Director of Human
Resources with the Richmond Fellowship and will give the Board much
added value.
Basil
Tyson
Basil is currently working in the
Business Banking Division for Bank of Scotland. He has excellent
analytical and commercial experience. He understands the
complexities of business planning and financial modelling. He is
also a Magistrate, a member of the Magistrate Advisory committee, a
member of the Independent Monitoring Board at Feltham Young
Offenders institute and an Employment Tribunal Lay Member in
Central London.
Dolores
Currie
Dolores is currently General
Manager, Commercial Operations, BT Wholesale. She has excellent
commercial, project and bid management experience. Dolores was
formerly Chair of Camden Young Women’s Centre, a charity which
provided youth services for young women in Camden. She is a trustee
at the Brandon Centre and Chair of Islington Panthers Basketball
Club, a voluntary organisation, which supports basketball at grass
roots level for young men and women in the local community.
