Hate Crime and European Funded Projects
London Probation Trust works with all types of hate crimes and
offers support to staff that are case managing sentenced offenders,
those undergoing reports and those in custody who pose significant
risk on release. London Probation Trust has also developed a tool
kit for practitioners that is available to staff and voluntary
sector organisations active in tackling hate crime in the
community.
European Funded projects
Reducing Hate Crime in Europe 1
Focused on crimes of race and faith-based hate. The project was
led by London Probation Trust and involved participation from The
University of Kent, NIACRO (Northern Ireland), University of Bremen
(Germany), International Initiatives for Co-operation (Bulgaria)
and Mid-Dlam Ghad-Dawl (Daritama Foundation, Malta).

Reducing Hate Crime in Europe 2
Again focused on crimes of race and faith-based hate and also
looked at the impact of violent radicalisation on community-based
punishments as well as extending the partnership to the
Netherlands. The project was led by London Probation Trust and
involved participation from University of Kent, NIACRO (Northern
Ireland), University of Bremen (Germany), International Initiatives
for Co-operation (Bulgaria) , Mid-Dlam Ghad-Dawl (Daritama
Foundation, Malta) and Forum Multi-Cultural Institute
(Netherlands).
