Approved ideas for Impact funding

Impact has already approved a number of projects for funding – many of which are currently being implemented. Below is a snapshot of some of these.

 

· A new Compliance Group at Highbury Court to deal with offenders who have breached their order.

 

· A new programme for male Turkish domestic violence offenders.

 

· Forensic mental health practitioners to improve the identification of offenders with mental disorders at court.

 

· Advanced pre-sentence report training for all experience report writers at London Probation.

 

· Funding for the London Criminal Justice Board to develop new text messaging and multi-media communications for offenders.

 

· Development of the capacity and provision of our services for women offenders.

 

· Report writers in all London prisons.

 

· Additional alcohol provisions – more alcohol workers, additional alcohol residential care and more places on Alcohol Treatment Requirement programmes.

 

· Funding for Diamond Intiative.

 

· Funding for the London Criminal Justice Board’s ‘Tag a Mag’ project – this involves a London magistrate being tagged and recording her experience using a video diary.
