Information for Sentencers

A key component of the Impact Programme is to increase Sentencers’ confidence in London Probation’s ability to deliver effective community sentences. Part of this involves increasing our communications with Sentencers to inform them about the good work we are doing as an organisation with London’s offenders.

Sentencer Reference Group

Impact has established a Sentencer Reference Group who will act as a sounding board for ideas we have to increase our communications and contact with London Judges and Magistrates. The group meets on a quarterly basis with the Impact Programme team.

Raising the Benchmark to Make an Impact – New Sentencer Bulletin now Available

Impact has recently distributed the first of our monthly sentencer bulletins to all London courts. Each issue will feature a community sentencing option that London Probation manages which will include London data and case studies.

The bulletin is a key part of Impact’s strategy to increase sentencer confidence in the work of London Probation. The first issue is on Prolific & Priority Offenders and can be viewed by clicking here.
