There are four routes to supplying London Probation Trust:

1) Tenders

2) Collaborative Framework Agreements

3) Submitting Innovative Ideas

4) General Expressions of Interest

1) Tenders

The Corporate Procurement Unit is committed to stimulating the market and promoting transparency and fairness.  As such, it encourages all tenders from £20, 000 - £156, 442 to be notified on both this website and the Supplier Route to Government site whenever possible.

London Probation Trust advertises all relevant opportunities over £156, 442 in accordance with EC Directive 2004/18/EEC and the Public Contract Regulations 2006.  ‘Residual services’ over this threshold will also normally be advertised through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) where appropriate.

In the publication 'The Coalition: our programme for Government', the Coalition set out the need for greater transparency across its operations . This commitment is taken seriously by London Probation Trust and in addition to the above it publishes opportunities and spend as required by the Coalition through Contracts Finder.

Contracts Finder was launched in early January 2011 and aims to be the Government's single platform for providing access to public sector procurement related information and documentation free of charge.

2) Collaborative Framework Agreements

London Probation Trust is committed to working collaboratively with other Public sector bodies and utilises collaborative tendered framework arrangements.  Frameworks can offer an alternative to resource intensive and repetitive cross government tendering.  Framework agreements are only utilised after scrutiny to ensure that a quality procurement process has been completed and value for money offered.

3) Innovation Portal - Submitting Innovative Ideas!

The Corporate Procurement Unit seeks to add value in everything it does and especially seeks to work with suppliers to reduce reoffending and improve value for money within London Probation Trust’s operational delivery.  Some suppliers often have ideas that could assist but have little or no opportunity to present it to the business.

To address this, suppliers are encouraged to initially share ideas through our team and we will pass these to the most appropriate person within London Probation Trust for their consideration.  However, we cannot guarantee that ideas can be progressed beyond concept stage.  In addition, because of public sector procurement restrictions, we may need to compete via tender in order to progress such requirement.

Where such ideas are submitted by suppliers, London Probation Trust will ensure that all information is managed in a commercially sensitive manner and with integrity surrounding potential intellectual property rights.  Please read our non-disclosure commitment.

If you have an innovative idea (for example, a new programme for offenders) and would like the opportunity to share this with London Probation Trust for consideration please complete our innovative concept form and return to: corporate.procurement@london.probation.gsi.gov.uk

4) General Expressions of Interest

If you are interested in delivering products and service to London Probation Trust either now or in the future and there are no specific contract opportunities, the Corporate Procurement Unit welcomes your submission of a general expression of interest.

Please complete our expression of interest form, which allows you to submit your company details. This will allow us to maintain a supplier database and market awareness and, where possible, we will contact you to inform you of up and coming opportunities. Please note however that it is not possible to make any guarantees and you are advised to regularly visit this websites’ Tender Opportunities pageContracts Finder and the Official Journal of the European Union.
